Sonic Prime Sonadow. Sonic is oblivious as Shadow struggles following the Paradox Prism fueled mess. A confrontation leads to a sleepover. All the while, fueled by the night's air of vulnerability, they realize they're scared of losing each other (and learn that this other feeling between them is mutual too). So sweet and heartfelt, I enjoyed every moment!

In the stretch of winter, Sonic and Shadow come together under the realization that they’re dealing with the same issue: Lonliness.
Slow season typically has Sonic hanging with his friends all the time, but now he has to bob and weave around their busy schedules. Rouge recently moved out of Shadow’s apartment with him, and he’s trying to be okay with living alone again.
But when Sonic kisses Shadow, things feel different. Exciting. They meld into this new relationship, navigating grief, quirks, and each other’s bodies.
With the help of lots of cigarettes and lots of gum.

"The Abundance of Emptiness" by wickwackballsack
Shadow and Sonic are stranded. As sustenance runs thin, Sonic starts to lose himself to hunger. I loved it so much it made me swallow my burning hatred for the use of "male" as an epithet. It's the kind of writing that stays with you for a long time.

Seemingly by chance, Shadow finds himself becoming bandmates with Sonic. Through a flurry of clashing personalities and life's complications, desire surfaces in all sorts of messy ways, and in the end they fit better than expected. Thorough and well written. Peak sonadow dynamic.
