Clark Kent is suspicious of Bruce Wayne. After meeting the man face to face for the first time, Clark could immediately tell there was something off about the man. Unfortunately, Batman doesn't want him to investigate Wayne, and Clark hates going behind his back.
Bruce Wayne has been extra tired as of late, and does not have the time or the energy to deal with a journalist watching his every move, or an alien, for that matter. Bruce does not really care if Superman works with him, but if the man would quit watching him so closely for even a second he would feel much more at ease.

Summary
