At 11 years old, Hermione’s life is abruptly turned upside down when she is forced to make an impossible choice: trust either Bellatrix or Severus, both of whom are strangers, and both of whom claim they want to save her from the other. With no idea what to do, Hermione puts her trust in the only other person present, a small boy with white-blonde hair and, unbeknownst to her, seals their fate for the foreseeable future.

Summary
This is a story about the Ancient and Most Noble House of Black, or at least what is left of it. In 1987, Cassiopeia Black receives a shocking letter about a metamorphic child, who may or may not be a Black. From there, House Black has a choice: come together and overcome their differences or fade into obscurity.
This is a slow-burn fic with a lot of politics and POVs from all Blacks (including the usually forgotten ones). This is the perfect fit for those who love the Blacks, extensive world-building, and captivating mystery.

Summary
Hermione Granger isn’t supposed to be a dangerous bitch with her hair tamed into braids or leggings beneath her school skirt or a sneer painted on her face. She isn’t supposed to quietly watch people, only responding to questions if she feels like it. She isn’t supposed to be difficult to read unless she is angry. She isn’t supposed to make the temperature drop several degrees upon entering a classroom. She is supposed to be a swotty, bushy-haired, skinny, book-obsessed, grade-chasing, overemotional, desperate little people-pleaser. That’s what everyone expects. That’s what everyone wants. It doesn’t matter that she’s been through a war, had likely carried her two Gryffindor parasites through every battle, had been the most wanted Muggleborn in Britain. Everyone wants Hermione Granger in a box and now they are shocked and irate to find she no longer fits.
Or... Hermione Granger returns for 8th Year at Hogwarts, is forced to re-sort into Slytherin, and turns everyone's lives upside down.

Summary
Tasked with playing a role no one else wanted, Hermione Granger is the muggleborn witch that everyone loves to hate. Except Hermione Granger doesn’t exist. Hermione Zabini, however, does. And she is tired of being nice when niceness is not reciprocated. But she’s got bigger problems. Due to Pureblood bureaucratic bs, her soulmate is stuck in an abusive marriage, and the only way out is if the man dies. The Golden Trio is a sham, Dumbledore has let the Ministry run all over Hogwarts, and Hermione is slowly dying.
In the midst of it all, Voldemort has returned, and the War restarts with a vengeance. When another prophecy is discovered, Hermione becomes a threat in the eyes of the Order and a weapon in the eyes of the Dark Lord. Hermione, along with her family and friends, turns the tide of the War unexpectedly by forming a new faction, one where the phrase ‘neither can live while the other survives’ takes on a whole new meaning.
Fate is funny that way.
