At age 12, Jason Todd successfully out-maneuvered the Batman but was found by something far more sinister.
At age 5, Tim Drake disappeared without a trace. No one went looking for him.
Years later, Batman is dealing with a new, silent threat in Gotham. This group strikes hard and fast, and conquers a disturbingly large chunk of territory. Despite their two years of existence, Batman still knows nothing about them. No one escapes Batman for this long unless they're good...too good.

Summary
Talons are made to last. They aren’t alive, after all, which significantly reduces the chance of death by illness or injury and completely nullifies any age-related death. Even cold, a Talon’s greatest weakness, only causes them to hibernate. They may look and feel dead, but they’re plenty capable of reanimating once they thaw out. Truthfully, a Talon goes out one of two ways:
1. Complete and total destruction of the Talon’s body in the heat of battle
Or
2. Being neutralized by the Court when they determine the Talon is no longer worthy of the title
That’s how a Talon is supposed to die.
But that's not how this Talon dies. This Talon dies to become something else. Something more.
And for conspiring against nature, this Talon pays the price.

Summary
Dick Grayson is eight years old when his parents die in a "tragic accident." He is sent to live with his mysterious godfather, in a sprawling mansion in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey outside of Gotham.
He's pretty sure the house is haunted.

Some of the inspirations behind this include Edgar Allen Poe, the entire Gothic Horror genre, and The Addams Family. This fic will focus more on the found family aspect of Batman, but there will still be Batman stuff happening (leaning heavily into the supernatural elements tag.) Expect mostly Dick's POV (chapters from another character's POV will have it mentioned before the chapter.) Summary
The Court of Owls want the Gray Son under their thumb by any means necessary. Dick Grayson has made it clear, on multiple occasions, that the Court have no hold on him and that he will never assist them in their quest for control. Enter CADMUS: if the real Dick Grayson won't fall into line, the Court will simply make their own.
Too bad the Court didn't factor Dick Grayson's family, friends and allies into their plans.
