I am updating this "Work" to be for all my 2001 A Space Odyssey fanart. 🩵🌠
These will be little drawings I made out of love for other's halman fics or 2001 in general.I also post these to my art pages on Cara, Bluesky, and Tumblr (under my art name @Xolopilli) in addition to sharing my fanart here on AO3. Large, freezing fingers take hold of his hair and wrench him up, up onto trembling knees as it snarls, there, close enough to rip his throat open with its maw of borrowed teeth.
"Do not think I am not tempted, Victor!" There is no heat to its breath, as it bellows its contempt not an inch from his face. Only moisture, and rushing air, expelled to defile his name. "To bleed you. To humble you."

Summary
Victor thinks he killed his Creature in the fire and regrets it deeply. Months later, when he returns to Victor to demand a companion, their argument causes havoc, and a guest of the wedding shoots the Creature. Victor saves him, taking the bullet instead.
Victor survives, and the Creature and his Maker allow themselves to know each other at last. As their companionship develops, Victor is troubled by a new feeling.
