“Of course,” Byleth reassures her, just like she had done so many times that day. She doesn’t look away from the road, but places a hand on Edelgard’s knee, “I know they’ll love you, just like I do.”
Edelgard is heading home for the holidays, or more precisely, Byleth’s home . . . to meet her parents.
