His hands glow a comforting blue-green hue, light emanating from his palms like glowstones were laid right underneath his calloused skin. His eyes tenderly meet hers. Her gaze is gentle and brittle, encouraging and stiff, with velvet copper so deep Minato feels like he’s about to drown. It takes everything in him not to string together frazzled apologies.

Although, the lines creased upon his head and the dark circles spotting underneath his eyes painted very different pictures.

He’s awfully close to her. Their feet remain only a few inches away from each other as they stand side by side at the counter. It’s not as though that had ever been an issue, but then again, Arisato has been an interesting phenomenon to her as a teammate and well…a friend. Those haven’t exactly fallen into her lap.
