To be fair, it was the Lamb’s fault.
..Maybe a little bit of Narinder’s, but it was mostly Lambert’s fault.
After a rather embarrassing accident on a crusade, Narinder opts to be resurrected instead of healed. Only, The Lamb's anxious mind haunted by past memories bumbled the ritual, and the cat comes back cursed: conscious, aware (not that The Lamb knows that) but with an insatiable hunger for flesh. Now, until Kallamar can return with crystals to cure him, Lambert must keep the cat alive, keep him from killing any of their flock and somehow keep him fed.
Unsurprisingly however, their husband already had a taste for mutton and is hardly taking any of this seriously.

Rudo and Regto are banished to the pits when he is only ten years old after they are framed for murder. They land in a garbage field of poison air, trash beasts, and a future scraped together from whatever they can salvage.
Nothing was trash to Rudo. Every item is important and he'd fix all of them if he could. How was he supposed to know that they seemed to care about him, too?
Or.. Regto does everything he can for Rudo on the ground even if it means risking it all when they join the Cleaners.

Neither say anything for a long moment. The street lamps flicker in the darkness and Rudo can see moths flock to their dying lights. If moths managed to survive down here, maybe fireflies did as well.
They weren’t stars, but they were the closest thing to them that Rudo could give Amo.
Stars aren’t visible from the Ground. Rudo finds them elsewhere.

Her eyes blurred fast.
No one had ever done this. Not like this. Not with decorations and cake and a whole room yelling ‘surprise’ and looking happy that she existed to live another year.
“Amo’s…first party,” she whispered through her fingers. “Ever.”
As December came to the Ground, Amo only assumed that her birthday would be just like any other day. Uneventful, ordinary, and somber.
However, what she didn’t realize is that she belonged to a family now. And with this family, they had a few tricks up their sleeves to change that for good.
