Kinn is looking at Porsche like he’s seen a ghost.
Porsche blinks and the haunted expression is gone, Kinn smoothing it over with something neutral, but there’s still something fragile at the edges of it, like a crystal figurine balanced on a ledge. Kinn’s body relaxes in a way that’s purposefully casual, tucking his outstretched foot back onto the bed.
“You were in the bathroom,” Kinn says. He phrases it like an answer rather than a question.
Or: Porsche left Kinn in their bed with nothing but a note. In the aftermath of the shootout, Kinn can't stop thinking about it.

Summary
Couple’s counselling has been a qualified… okay, Kinn thinks, looking through his schedule for today. They’re meeting the woman again this afternoon, and Kinn is trying to figure out if he can get a one-on-one in with someone first. Probably best not to.
They had that talk a few months ago, kind of clearing the air, and it all seemed good. Kinn apologized. They could move on.
Then, suddenly, they were fighting about everything. If things had been smooth, Kinn's not sure if they'd ever have gone, but Chan suggested it to both of them separately as a way to stop fucking shouting at each other in front of the staff, and… well, it seemed like they needed a referee.
Or, nothing can ever go smoothly for Porsche. Kinn tries his best to help.
