“Your face is flushed,” Maomao informs him, as if he couldn't feel his own rising temperature. Her hand slips down to press against his cheek – a killing blow. Jinshi hears himself make a pathetic noise.
Maomao’s eyes flick up to meet his. Slowly, she lifts a brow. He can’t even say anything in his own defence, just slumps in defeat, as she glances down at his lap and then sighs.
Jinshi is distracted for days after the aphrodisiac incident. Gaoshun ‘helps’ by siccing Maomao on him. He is probably not expecting what happens next. (Or at least, refusing to think too much about it.)

Doc chopped some carrots and dropped them into the pot he was using. When he turned around, Bobbie was staring at the rag like he didn’t know what he was meant to do with it. He’d pulled the hoodie of his onesie up over his ears.
Doc leaned over the counter and picked up the rag, before carefully dabbing at the sticky juice around Bobbie’s mouth.
