“Satoru,” Sukuna greeted. He dropped the brat, and kept walking, past where the nobles knelt, past treason and into taboo. He stepped up to the throne, and stood, for a moment, above Satoru. Looking down, as his god looked up.
The blue of Satoru’s eyes had not faded. It was as cataclysmic now as it had been on the day they first met.
“My dear consort eternal,” Satoru purred, “it has been a long time.”

It’s freeing on the streets. People are scared, but they’re also praying and lighting fires. They’re ready to go with fanfare, ready to hunt and drink until there is nothing left. Greed and violence, Yharnam in its finest clothes. The last celebration. The final hunt.
Still, no one dares to approach Satoru, growling at his white clothes of the Healing Church. Some beg, some cry, but all afraid of his eyes, even if they are covered. There is no one dressed in white in this city who can’t fight good enough to keep those clothes clean.

"Or a husband." Blue Eyes shrugged, the shawl over his shoulders slipping. His robes today were thin, a translucent film that only just covered his skin. Supposedly, they were like that in the city. All…revealing. Show-offs.
"Say…" Blue Eyes peered up at him. "You're fit. And I find myself to be a kind and charitable man. You're exactly the type I'm looking for."
"What type?"
"The husband type," Blue Eyes said. "What say you?"
Blue Eyes had a face others would call handsome. Sukuna thought of it as unbearably smug and imagined cutting it into an infinite number of pieces. Finally, he managed to push out, "So you just troll the streets looking for someone to marry you? Are you crazy or a serial killer? Or both?"
Blue Eyes smiled, took Sukuna by the wrist, his hands surprisingly warm. Sukuna closed his nail-bitten hands around them.
"Or both."
Sukuna accepts a marriage proposal from a wealthy lord with plans to murder him. Turns out they both had the same idea.

Uraume despises the cold.
It's a throwaway line. A small curse he mutters under his breath as he pulls the kosode tighter to block out the winter chill. It's never meant to be heard, but, like always, Uraume's words have a way of slithering into the worst ears.
When Sukuna-sama hears this, he laughs. "So you hate yourself?"
And maybe it's because he's too tired and hungry and fucking cold that the word slips out before he can catch it. "Obviously."
Some confessions only occur in winter, between God and servant.
