Summary
A series of brutal murders occur in the southeastern region of New Mexico. Despite the fact that Neil is on sick leave, he receives a call. The murders are very similar to the murders of a serial killer who has been dead for many years. The Butcher from Baltimore is gone, but his case is still alive and Neil will have to stop it.

Summary
The trial for Neil’s father had finally happened. Andrew didn’t even know it was an ongoing thing. He’d known what Nathan had done, how Neil ended up with Stuart. But he assumed Nathan was put away immediately. Apparently, they’d spent the last few years gathering evidence and waiting for Neil to be old enough to testify. Waiting all that time gave Nathan’s fancy lawyers plenty of time to come up with a stellar defense.
Despite Neil’s testimony, the man got off free.
To make matters worse, Nathan wanted visits. Stuart had spent months in court fighting the request. But Nathan was Neil’s biological parent. He not only got mandatory visits, he got a whole summer.
