“What the fuck is he doing here?!” Xavier interrupted with anger in his voice. Wednesday quickly took a step back from Tyler. “Is this what I was making you late to? You had no time to talk to your boyfriend because you were too busy sneaking your EX into the nightshades?!”
“We needed a book. That's all.” Wednesday responded coolly. Technically, she was telling the truth. Xavier walked up and snatched the book out of her hands.
“‘Bonding with Hydes’?” Xavier looked between Tyler and Wednesday with fury. “Are you trying to become his new master?!”
“Well, we didn’t exactly have to try very hard.” Tyler said with a knowing smirk. Xavier's head whipped towards him. Wednesday looked at Tyler with a slightly shocked look on her face.
“What did you just say?” He asked with venom in his voice. He stepped towards Tyler.
Or
Tyler is now innocent, and Xavier is not happy that Wednesday was the one to prove his innocence.

"Because I burn for you, Wednesday!" his words cracked like a whip, his hurtful glare burning holes on her maybe not-so-cold heart. "Because even though I'm sure you could rip this son of a bitch in a thousand pieces by yourself, I can't stand the possibility to lose you, not like I lost her."
And she just standed there. Not knowing what to do with his confession, nor with herself. Tyler was scared of losing her. Tyler burned for her.
The worst part? Maybe she burned for him, too. And that realization scared the hell out of her.

Over the months between the semesters, Wednesday had plenty of time to sit there and analyse her feelings on everything that happened. But there was a big, gaping hole in the middle of her research, a question that she could not answer by herself. When she trudged down the hallways of Willow Hill, it echoed around every corner, the same ache curling itself around her ribcage as she made her way into his high-security cell. They were finally face to face, but it didn’t feel like it. There were spectators and a security team on standby, and Wednesday was forced to keep up this unconvincing, unfeeling front. She wanted to demand the cameras be turned off and step foot through the iron bars until they were really alone – maybe then she would find the strength to ask.
It was amongst the decaying leaves and soil that Wednesday realised she would never get the chance.

We both know you could never truly love Xavier when you’ve felt what it feels like to be loved by me.”
