Clint was the first one to notice the kid, maybe sixteen or seventeen years old, wearing an old blue hoodie over a faded orange shirt and sitting cross-legged on a bench in Central Park eating a sandwich. All normal things for teenage boys to be doing. He shook his head and brushed black hair out of his face as he took another bite, completely unconcerned.
Meanwhile, Thor flew two feet in front of him at the speed of sound as a giant robot flung him away from the fight happening literally right in front of the bench.
Or: Percy Jackson meets different Avengers because he's doing things he shouldn't be doing. As usual.

Summary
The two dots are pressed close together in one corner of the warehouse map. Tim's marker pushes Jason's back into the corner. Jason's heart rate ticks up again. It doesn't take a genius to put together the chain of events here, and Dick is a decently smart guy who's known Tim and Jason for years and years, through thick and thin; watched them circle around each other and orbit closer and closer towards an inevitable collision. Even the stubbornest Bats have to crack eventually. Dick didn't think a routine kidnapping would be the thing that did it, but. Alright, then.
Bruce narrows his eyes at the screen. Dick can practically see each individual thought flickering across his face, the world's greatest detective putting things together in real time. Oh, boy.
"They've always had a tense relationship," Bruce says. "It was bound to boil over at some point." He leans so close to the screen that Dick is tempted to turn things back on him and lecture him about eye strain. "They're fighting again."
"Uh," Steph says.
"Well," Dick tries.

Steph, Dick, and Bruce observe Jason rescue Tim from a kidnapping. Bruce is in for a revelation. Dick is in for a long, long night.

Summary
It was such a horrible, sick, selfish, stupid idea.
Alas, Merlin was such a fool, and he could not watch Morgana suffer. He certainly could not watch her suffer alone, unaided.
Merlin swallowed, praying to whatever gods were listening that this would save them both.
They had defeated the afanc together. They had saved the druid boy. Merlin had tried to get her to safety with the druids just now. He hoped these memories and more would help he believe him for the horrible truth that came next.
“I have magic.”Merlin tells Morgana of his magic at the end of "The Nightmare Begins", and it changes everything.
