They were just Raine Whispers, former Head Bard, ex-partner of the famed Owl Lady, the chosen Performer for the grandiose funeral being held mere rooms away.

Summary
After three months, Eda weaned off of the lie a bit. She stopped with the extra plates of food, and she locked Luz’s room after getting into an argument with Lilith about disturbing the teen’s belongings.
She didn’t think that it should be disturbed. That it had to be left the way Luz would remember it. Just in case, she told herself as justification.
Those three months were some of the hardest she’s ever lived through. Lilith and Raine basically moved into the Owl House full-time to help Eda out, but she was getting better about adjusting to her everyday life.
