Galinda never saw the appeal of it before, of the ache in her bones or the aging lines on her face.
But looking in the mirror lately, they’re there— and she doesn’t hate it. She doesn’t hate knowing she’s changed. That they both have.

“Elphaba Thropp,” she said easily, trying not to wince as another shaft of sunlight cut through the tower and hit her full in the face. Her skin shimmered faintly under it, the green of her cheek catching golden light. She smiled again, this time slower. “And you?”
The girl faltered. She wanted to say it, Elphaba could see that. It was right there, the truth balanced on the tip of her tongue. But something stopped her. Something small and scared and flickering behind those wide brown eyes.
“You’ll get my name,” she said, “When you tell me how you found me.”

Princess Galinda had been stolen from her mothers soon as she was born and locked in a tower, not expecting a bandit (who complains about how the flyers had the wrong shade of green) would be the one to free her.

It felt like she was being torn apart. Blood rushed in her ears as her bones snapped and shifted, her skin stretching and pulling as her whole body broke and reformed. She’d never felt anything like this before.
When the pain finally stopped, she lay panting and shuddering against the freezing stone. Her nerves were still sparking and her heart felt like it was trying to burst from her chest.
In between pained breaths, she heard her voice, once comforting, now cold and sharp.

Thrust into a strange new world at Shiz, tasked with learning all she can about Doctor Dillamond, Galinda is faced with a reality she wasn’t prepared for. All she knew to do was… just keep breathing.

Glinda Upland, surprise winner of the 68th annual Hunger Games at fifteen years old-and now, at seventeen, her mentor. The person who was supposed to guide Elphaba through the pre game festivities and look out for her while she was in the Arena. The person who had once been closer to her than anyone else in the world, now worse than a stranger.
Elphaba tried to stifle a sigh. She really didn’t stand a chance.

It had been three months since the fight in Old Corona. Princess Rapunzel left with her friends to follow the black rocks. There was peace in Corona and even if Queen Arianna missed her daughter painfully she still enjoyed the harmony and quietness.
Until the day they received this dreadful message, a message from an old enemy of her husband, an alchemist who invented a substance that covers everything with an indestructible crystal, almost like the amber which kept Quirin as their prisoner, like the amber she herself nearly became trapped in.
One village has already fallen victim to it and more were bend to follow. They din‘t have too many options, Arianna knew that, after all, Corona only has one alchemist, a boy who is currently sitting in the dungeons beneath her feet in a small, cold cell and nobody knew whether he would agree to help them in their need or even what he would demand in return should they ask. But they had no other choice and who knew it, maybe this is exactly the right opportunity to bring Varian back to light.
All Arianna can do is hope.
