Most would probably go with, "I got bitten by a radioactive spider, someone close to me died, I turned into a superhero."
I'm not most.
Instead of a should-be fatal spider bite, I had a dream about a giant Spider and told me "The world awaits a Spider-Man", or some shit.
Woke up different. Stronger. Faster. Stickier. Didn’t ask for it. Didn’t even want it.
But here we are.
I ain’t chromed, but people think I’m packing some preem military tech or corpo-grade ware.
Nah, choom. This is all meat.
Some freak twist of fate, and now I can throw down with gonks twice my size and climb a wall like it’s nothing.
I'm trying to do good in a city that constantly wants to flatline me. I have got to rethink my life choices.
