“Look at the state of you.” Dream murmured, leaning in close. He wrapped a hand around the strap of Hob’s bag that still dug into his shoulder and pulled it off. The bag landed on the hardwood floor with a loud thump and Hob had a fleeting thought about his poor laptop, but found he didn’t care as Dream leveled him with those piercing eyes, dark as the night sky. His other hand curled around Hob’s chin, tilting it up, forcing his gaze forward.

“Are you taking enjoyment from my plight, Robert Gadling? Must I to seek counsel elsewhere?”
Hob was quite enjoying himself, it seemed, but he did his best to hold back his laughter, pulling the ever so serious but kind demeanour he saved for his students in his lectures. “Morpheus."
It's a metaphor
