Personal note: as someone who’s struggled with sexuality most of her life I’ve been wanting to write this subject for some time now but I never really had a clear idea or wasn’t really sure I could do it justice. I hope this fic resonates with those who need it.

Penelope was pale, and her face was… empty. There were no emotions showing, good or bad — no tears, no angry frown, no demandingly raised brows. It looked as if her features were devoid of any feeling whatsoever, like a marble statue one can find in a garden. Then, with her expression remaining the same, she finally spoke:
