Summary
Summer 2007: Shane Hollander arrives at a remote Wyoming summer camp with one goal: prove himself as Activities Director and secure the job permanently when current director Scott Hunter steps down at the end of the season. He needs this job: structure, stability, a future he can finally hold onto.
What he doesn’t expect is Ilya Rozanov.
The camp’s barn manager is sharp, self-contained, and impossible to ignore. It quickly becomes clear he’s not just a coworker, but Shane’s biggest competition for Scott’s position. Their friction is immediate, their clashes constant, and working together is impossible.
As long days blur into charged nights and forced collaboration pulls them closer, the line between rivalry and something far more dangerous begins to erode, and a reckless decision to cross the line shifts everything, leaving Shane caught between what he wants and what he’s worked so hard to build.
Wanting Ilya might cost him the job he came here to win. Walking away might cost him something he’s not sure he can live without.

Summary
Shane Hollander arrives in Vegas with a question he hasn’t spoken out loud.
It isn’t complicated, exactly. It’s just the kind of question that requires honesty he isn’t sure he’s ready for - about what he and Ilya Rozanov have been doing for the past few years, about what six months of silence after Sochi actually meant, and about whether any of it is worth staying close to or whether he finally needs to go.
He gets his answer in a locked bathroom at the NHL Awards.
Ilya spends the summer convinced that Shane is fine. Upset? Yes. Angry? Definitely. But Shane always felt things fiercely despite what everyone said about him when he had his back turned. He’d calm down over the summer and then he’d be there like he always had been. He fills the silence with discipline and routine and the comfortable certainty that later is still available to him.
He’s wrong.
By the time Ilya understands what he actually lost, Shane is already gone; and Ilya is left trying to find a way back to someone who closed the door long before Ilya had ever thought to just walk through it.

Summary
Sequel to Breathing Room
Ilya Rozanov has spent five years holding Shane Hollander at arm’s length - not because he didn’t love him, but because he loved him too much to ask him to risk everything for something that could fall apart. He was good at that: the careful distance, the walls that looked like indifference, the way he’d learned to be close without being close. He’d had a lot of practice.
What he didn’t have practice for was what came after he was done lying to himself. He didn’t have practice for this - for something warm and bright and absolutely terrifying. Something that fits in the spaces between games and cities and the distance between Boston and Raleigh. Something that makes Ilya think, for the first time in a long time, that maybe the risk is worth it.
He just needs to figure out what to do with it all before their careers swallow them whole
He doesn’t get the chance to think about it for very long.

Summary
Ilya took a deep shaky breath and kissed Shane’s chest. “What if this stops?” He asked, barely above whisper.
“That won’t happen. I won’t let it.” Shane’s hand had stilled in Ilya’s hair and he resumed his combing.
“You can’t promise that. We don’t know how any of this works. We’ve been so lucky for so many years but it was always the secret. The questions. We don’t know what happens when the questions are answered. If it means losing this. Losing you then I don’t want to know.” He sounded gutted.
“I’m not going anywhere. And neither are you. Do you hear me?” He lightly tugged the silky curls to further get his point across.
“Okie.” Ilya said sadly and Shane’s determination hit a fever pitch.
“I won’t stop.” Shane replied matter-of-factly. “I won’t ever stop until I find a way to keep you.”Or- after a snap decision in Sochi, the next six years will test Shane's resolve, his bonds with family and friends and his career in ways Shane could never imagine. He goes so far outside his comfort zone that he doesn’t even know if he still has one. He will go up against Fate itself but nothing is too much and no distance is too far if it means holding on to the absolutely impossible love he has found.
