The Entity is an interdimensional being who draws its victims in from places spanning across time and space. Wherever there is hope and fear to be found, the Entity will seek it out and find the (usually human) source.
The two groups, Survivors and Killers, are usually plainly distinct from one another. The Entity is usually on top of this.
But very very rarely, the Entity makes Mistakes.
This is one such mistake that does not get fixed.
