Professor Laventon digs a small drawstring bag out of his pocket and hands it to Ren, “Here you are, my boy; Pokeballs!”
Ren pulls one of them out of the bag, and then a sense of dread washes over him.
Because this looks very different from what he was expecting. Instead of being made entirely of metal, there’s what seems to be stone on top, and wood on the bottom, and rather than a button there’s a metal clasp in the middle, with a little more metal sticking out of the top. And, while it doesn’t look like the Pokeballs he’s used to, he has seen the design before.In a history textbook.
