Summary
Blackbeard is the most feared pirate in the world… but if word got out that he was an omega, he certainly wouldn’t be. Luckily, he has Izzy to help make sure that the secret never, EVER comes out. If Izzy weren’t there to cover up any sign of Ed’s weakness, who knows what could happen to him? Izzy will kill as many people as necessary to keep his captain safe.
And of course, Izzy knows that Ed isn’t like those *other* omegas, all pathetic and submissive. He’s capable of such awe-inspiring dominance, after all. And if he still wants Izzy to brush his hair or hold him tenderly, that’s acceptable, because Ed orders him to do it in his captain voice. Indulging Ed’s weaker nature on occasion is a necessary evil, as long as no one else is around to see.
The problem arises when this horrible alpha, Stede Bonnet, shows up. He keeps trying to make Ed soft, to ruin him and make him nothing more than any other housekept omega. Izzy HAS to save Ed from that fate. (Izzy, of course, has never considered the idea that Ed could enjoy the softness he so craves AND be a respected pirate.)

Bigger than spice trades and pigs.”
Israel watches his booted foot swing the hammock side to side. “I know you do.”

Or he might not.
Izzy was certain that Blackbeard didn’t know, himself, what he would do; the balance might tip in any direction, at any moment. He watched a drop of blood fall from the tip of his nose and spatter on the floor. He tried not to tremble, and failed.
Then the hand tightened in his hair again, so hard that he gasped, and Blackbeard wordlessly shoved him to his knees.

“Okay!” Fuck. Goddammit shit fuck fuck fuck. “Okay. I’ll bring him. For a visit.”
“Really? Fantastic. For your birthday next weekend? I can cook. Or order in. Your favorite. Whatever you want! You can spend the weekend?”
“Sure!” Why the fuck not? I’d love to spend my birthday fake-dating the man I’m in love with, who is most definitely not in love with me, so my dad can die peacefully, assured his son won’t spend the rest of his life with only his Fillory books, Star Wars action figures, and anatomically correct blow-up dolls for company.
Post S3 AU. No monster. The only disasters here are bisexual ones. Post-mosaic fake-dating shenanigans.
