She's hardly thrilled about it, but she'd rather give up the Crown of Karsus to Raphael than lose any autonomy to the Ascendant or the Emperor. Besides, making and serving a new god out of someone whose company she doesn't mind is hardly the worst fate she can imagine for herself, so long as her current god continues allowing her the freedom to do so.
