Kamakiri Togaru was an asshole.
He wasn’t a loud asshole, like Bakugo (although their personalities were worryingly similar) - no, he was a calculated asshole. Like his blades, his insults had the power to cut someone deep, to carve up an ego until the insecurities bled out; fortunately, he had enough sense to refrain from digging too deep within his classmates, avoiding a whole lot of emotional scarring.
Kamakiri Togaru was also a 6’2’’ mantis-looking dude with two giant pincers on his cheekbones who could slash anything that got too close to his face: Tokage would have lost many limbs if it weren’t for her Quirk.
Lastly, Kamakiri Togaru was currently living rent-free in your mind, making concentration nigh impossible as your stupid brain preferred fawning over lanky feral boys instead of focusing on your goddamn hero law studies.Bookmarked by Imaginaryscribbles

'The sound of his painted nails clicking against the countertop filled the kitchen. Fumikage stared at his phone, leaning over to stare at the screen as though he could somehow will Tsu or Mezou to answer him. He had been patient all day, only allowing himself to check the news three times in between catching up on paperwork. As a plus, he was now actually caught up, anxiety apparently being a good source of fuel for productivity. But he had run out of things to do, the sun had set and Mezou had now worked thirteen hours straight at the high rise collapse. Fumikage’s patience was gone.'

"Shouji has become pretty friendly with Dark Shadow and Dark Shadow has become very friendly with Shouji, soliciting attention from him damn near any time Fumikage and Shouji hang out. Which is often. He’s taken to petting Dark Shadow like he’s a cat, just absentmindedly reaching out and stroking him while they’re studying or scratching under his spectral beak while eating lunch.
Fumikage isn't exactly sure when the right time is to break it to Shouji that he can feel all of that through his link with Dark Shadow. He's pretty sure it's not after a month when he's grown kind of addicted to it.

It's a surprise to many when Aizawa finds out his dislike is mutual.
Shouta's never been so bothered by someone agreeing with him. He should probably look into why.

“That would be my liver,” Mezou pointed out as a claw landed a bit harder than he might like. His hands were gentle as he picked Dark Shadow up, mindful of its lack of actual weight. He still held it up, the shadow’s form small, mild and sweet as he looked it over as though it were an annoyingly endearing cat. “I thought you said that you did like math? Or at least that it was easy?”
“It is easy.” The spirit let out an annoyed huff. “Fumikage is just trying to distract me from the fact that you both are being incredibly annoying.”'
Mezou really just needs to study. Dark Shadow really just needs attention.
