El watched as the ground began growing, getting higher and higher and for a second she spotted Eddie, still standing, Vecna getting closer and closer until he stopped and the earth continued surrounded the two of them. El followed it with her eyes, and it didn’t seem to stop until it looked like it reached the sky.
“What’s happening?” Robin asked, ”what’s he doing with Eddie?”El closed her eyes, focusing on the crackling of the burning fires around them, and searched. She quickly found Eddie and Venca together in the void, “he’s . . . still alive.”
Nancy’s voice broke through, “is Vecna hurting him?”
El shook her head slowly, “just . . . talking.”
“Like he did with Nancy?” Steve said.
“No . . . he is awake . . . ”

Vecna is finally defeated, Eddie’s name is completely cleared, and everyone readies themselves for life to become normal again for the first time in almost three years.
But for one member of the group, this is only the beginning.
