I want a fic showing what this would look like. Doesn't matter if he's just pretending or if it's real, or maybe he doesn't even know himself. Enough people think it's real for it to "get off the ground." How do his friends react? How does Paul react? Doesn't have to be endgame John/Paul, but I'd like that. Mostly I want to see John dancing and flirting in gay clubs. (Maybe Elton's showing him around at first?)

There was some rustling down the line, like John had the paper right there. “Here, ‘Bob Dylan Visits Childhood Home of George Harrison.’”
George nearly spat out his tea. “You’re joking.”
He tried to picture it—Bob standing in the doorway of his childhood terraced home in Speke. In a house that was too small to hold someone like him, with its cracking floral wallpaper and cramped porch. It stirred something unnameable in his chest—something unfamiliar, warm and blooming under his skin.

George didn’t know why Bob was in Liverpool—or why he’d gone to his childhood home. He didn’t know why no one else seemed to care.
And yet, he bought the paper. Booked a train. Went looking anyway.
He didn’t know what he was hoping to find. He almost gave up.
But Bob had a way of appearing at the last minute—and suddenly, George was slipping sideways into something he hadn’t even known he wanted.

George is not allowed to relax because he is in charge of a man child who happens to be the voice of a generation, the best musician in the world, George's favorite artist. He can't fucking relax when Bob Fucking Dylan is hungover and probably still intoxicated in a bathtub, staring at him with the bluest eyes George has ever seen. And George probably looks like a fool, because he shouldn't be here. This shouldn't be happening. He shouldn't be blushing so hard, and Bob shouldn't be looking at him like that.

They've always had -- other boyfriends. They've always called them that, jokingly: Paul bitched about Jeff Lynne being George's boyfriend really, by which he meant he likes me just fine but he belongs to George. It was always like that, even back in the band: Brian was John's boyfriend. George Martin was Paul's. And George -- well, George thinks he was well fucking due the succession of boyfriends he's fallen for since: Bob and Ravi and Tom and the Erics, all of them liking him best, imagine that.
But still, something about Paul's latest infatuation makes George jealous.
