Summary
You're frowning," Oscar remarked, his voice low. He reached a finger to smooth out the frown that had appeared on Alex’s face.
Alex didn't look up from the screen. "I can't understand a single thing on this report. None of it makes sense."
"It's three weeks till another race weekend," Oscar reminded. “You can try and decipher that tomorrow. It won't kill you."
Alex let out a small, huffing laugh and finally glanced down at the man lying before him. Oscar was looking back at him, his warm brown eyes blinking slowly. If you looked close enough, there was a glint there, a tiny spark of mischief that Alex knew all too well. It was the look Oscar got when he was bored and decided that the most logical use of his time was to cause a moderate amount of chaos.
"What are you thinking about, Osc’?" Alex eyed him suspiciously. “I can practically hear the gears turning in your head.”
Oscar didn't answer immediately. He shifted, sliding his head up Alex's thigh until he was propped up on one elbow, staring at Alex's chest. He reached out, his fingers grazing the hem of Alex’s t-shirt.
"Just wondering if you're as sensitive today as you were on Monday," Oscar murmured.

“What’s that?”
There are a limited number of answers to that question, because first, he can see it’s a rope, and second, there’s not much to do with ropes.
“Something I saw on the internet.”

Oscar blinks once. Twice. It’s still there.
The white bag with a bow and the name “Victoria’s Secret” written large on it. Next to it, a McLaren shirt with Lando’s number 1 and a papaya-and-black schoolgirl skirt.
Or: Oscar comments on the latest Victoria’s Secret collection and Lando buys him a piece. Obviously, Lando is the one who benefits the most from this gift.

“What’s something you’ve always wanted to do, but haven’t had the chance to yet?” Oscar reads off the next card.
“When I retire from F1, I want to try my hand at racing in some of the other series. A rally race would be pretty cool. That one’s gonna have to wait, Zak might have a heart attack if I try that now. What about you?”
Oscar’s still looking down at the ground when Lando turns towards him. He looks deep in thought, as if the answer to this question is something that even matters.
“I’ve always wanted to try giving someone a blowjob,” Oscar says, so quietly that Lando’s not sure if he’s just imagined that.
OR
Lando finds out that his teammate wants him and uses it to his advantage. Nothing can go wrong.

It had been a slash across her chest from a White Walker’s sword that finally ended her life. Sansa’d landed in a puddle of her own blood, and she’d died quickly, quietly.
And then she’d awoken with a gasp, trembling, in a bed that had burned under Theon’s betrayal.

Summary
Lando gave himself a full minute of challenge before stepping back. “Well, it was just a stupid shirt anyways. No need to dwell on it a whole week later,” was what he settled on, but even so it was obvious that he was still watching Oscar closely for his reaction. “There’s only one pussy I would turn vegan for, either way. ‘Till then I’d rather not starve myself.”
The look he directed at him was so pointed that Oscar felt himself blush furiously. His inner omega preened and his legs closed in the most obvious way ever to contain the slick wetting his panties, forgetting completely that there was no way it would be visible through the thick material of the team suit.
Lando smiled smugly as his eyes went down to Oscar’s pressed legs and he tilted his head to the side, looking him in the eyes again. “Do us both a favour and knock on my hotel room’s door tonight, yeah, Osc? I’m getting tired of waiting.”

“I don’t understand, Your Majesty.”
“The royal property is safe for you, Prince Oscar, and welcomes you with open arms. But it’s dangerous to have an omega walking alone here.” Oscar thinks he’s hallucinating this whole conversation. “Don’t worry, Lando is one of our best swordsmen.”
Great, he has his own soldier, chosen by the king. Just great.

Summary
"Lando?" He asks, shocked, because standing in the doorway is technically Lando, but not his Lando. This one is much younger, plucked straight from his rookie year or somewhere thereabouts, almost like someone had taken a look through Oscar's old social media footprint and plucked out the very version of Lando that Oscar had obsessed over, hidden under the guise of looking up to his racecraft.
Well, Oscar did admire his racing, but it wasn't exactly Lando's car that had him jerking off under the covers in shitty hotels between F2 races, fist almost stuffed into his own mouth to evade the scrutiny that came with the paper thin walls.
...mostly
This Lando is also shirtless, waistband of his pants twisted slightly as if he'd pulled them on in a hurry, tripping over himself as he hurried to the main room. Clearly Oscar had interrupted something.
"Who are you?"

Lando knows exactly what people were going to think about that shirt.
And they're not *wrong*.
They're just not exactly *right* either.
And, frankly, Lando thinks that's fucking hilarious too. -

He lies his head down on the pillow and watches Oscar sleep and thinks, This thing between us, when did you know it for what it was? Did you see it before I did? Did you want it before I did? And he thinks, Did you notice me loving you? Did you notice my hands shaking the first time we had sex? Did you know I noticed your hands shaking, too? And he thinks, I love you, I love you, I love you.
And, I think I want to marry you.
And he whispers, “I love you too. Anniversary.”
And Oscar snuffles against his pillow, and Lando wants and wants and wants.
OR: It takes Lando a really, really long time to propose. It works out eventually.

“I guess we should just pretend to date, then?” Lando says easily.
“What?” Oscar asks. “You’re not serious?”
“Um, yeah I am, mate,” Lando says. “C’mon. It’s not like we can erase the kiss from anyone’s mind or socials. And I don’t want Zak to think you’re like playing mind games with me. I mean, you’re not right?”
“No,” Oscar exclaims, shaking his head. “Of course not.”
“Then, we might as well just lean in, right?” Lando says. “You’d look crazy if we just pretended it was some weird accident.”
Well, Oscar probably is for kissing his teammate like that.
----
Oscar kisses Lando on the podium in front of the whole world. Which might be ok if they were dating. But they're not. Not even close. So now, they have to pretend to date to save both of their careers from Oscar's lapse in judgment. This means cute insta posts, joint interviews, the occasional public date, and shared hotel room.
It certainly doesn't mean exploring his newfound sexuality with his teammate. Or getting to know him on a deeper level. Or falling in love with him. All while leading the championship. Again.

“Please tell me.”
“Tell you what?” Hinata swallowed.
“What are you hiding from me?”
“I’m not hiding anything,” she said quickly.
“Then why does it feel like you know something about me that I don’t? Then why does it feel like every time I look at you, I’m missing something I can’t name?” Sasuke asked. They were beautiful once.
There had been rain. There had been quiet evenings and unspoken confessions beneath lantern light. There had been something fragile and fiercely protected between them.
And then something changed.
This is a story about love that endures, silence that wounds, and the quiet question that follows them through every timeline of their lives.
And somewhere between memory and forgetting, a question lingers —
If time offered you another chance, would you reach for it? Or would you leave the past untouched, even if it meant losing something beautiful?
