Summary
After reuniting in the beach and some marriage bliss in Formenos, Fingon starts to believe their relationship should take another step. Meaning parenthood. Too bad there isn´t any unwanted elfling in Valinor they could adopt.
On another part, Maeglin, now rehoused, have been having problems to keep the new life that was given to him. Abandoned by his parents and ostracised by society and family, he accepted a deal with Námo that will forever change his existence and send the elves in a very ardent debate about nature vs nurture.

Summary
This is the first part of the tale of the surviving child of Celebrimbor of Eregion and how she fared through the Ages of the world. From the Fall of Ost-in-Edhil to Imladris and the vastness of Second Age Eriador, the fight against Sauron seems never ending.
Can be read fandom blind.
Warning for slightly adjusted timeline according to the story needs, but not too noticeable as the structure stays intact. Verses from my favourite poems are also liable to get themselves in weird places.

Summary
“Sometimes the state of things as they are cannot last. We may attempt to order them, to bend them to our will. But if ordering them is not enough… destruction is simply an inevitable end. There is beauty in the order brought by destruction”, Sauron said, his voice a low whisper in Maeglin’s ear. “Or do you tell me that you are happy with the way things are? There is nothing that you wish to make anew?”
“No”, Maeglin said, back in the now, in the darkness of the dungeon that his eyes had already grown accustomed to. “There is nothing that I wish to change.”
But his long hesitation gave him away, and in the shadows beside him, he could hear Sauron smile.---
A series of discussions in the dungeons of Angband. The story of how Maeglin betrayed Gondolin for love – not the love of Idril, but for Sauron.
