Pierre laughs. It sticks to every exposed inch of Charles’s skin, hot and cruel and yearning. He even tips his head back with it, hyperbolic by design, and the garish show he makes of it only serves to turn Charles on more.
“You are not fooling anyone,” Pierre states, glaring confidence written in lines down the angles of his cheeks. He leans in closer, dangerous, lips tipping in close to Charles’s ear. “If you are going to make a slut of yourself in front of me, at least wait until we are alone.”

Summary
Sometimes, when they first arrive at the circuit for a weekend, Charles will look decidedly paler, a little drawn. Then, he'll show up for FP1 on Friday seemingly much better all of the sudden, eyes unnaturally bright and cheeks red - that's how to tell how long it has been since he last drank.
Not that Carlos notices. Or keeps track of it, for that matter.
Except he does.

Summary
Anybody who knows Hannibal Lecter knows that he is very meticulous about the state of his kitchen. After all, he spends most of his free time experimenting with culinary masterpieces from history or of his own design for both himself and the various dinner guests he has. Everything is always pristine, not a crumb or speck of grease (or blood) to be seen on his countertops. Everything is always kept in running order for convenience and efficiency.
So, when an entire row of lights above his workspace suddenly goes out, the fridge stops humming, and the clock on the oven goes black, for several, very unsettling seconds while his eyes adjust to the abrupt disappearance of light, Hannibal does not know what to do.

Missing Chris is less of an emotion these days and more of a physical entity. He’s sure everyone can see that he’s slowly hollowing himself out, that he can’t do much of anything else.
But when Jee laughs at him trying to get his tongue to touch his nose, and Mara loops one of her arms through his to keep him from tossing the rest of his cup in the garbage, Eddie feels solid again.
Maybe he likes yellow birthday cake ice cream after all.
(or, gerrard messes with the team's schedules and eddie 'i just drove my son to flee the state' diaz is the only option to watch mara and jee-yun after school on tuesdays, which, shouldn't be a problem at all, right?)

“It’s at a gay bar,” Buck blurts out before he can think better of it—think of a gentler way to explain that this might not be Eddie’s scene.
Eddie doesn’t seem the least bit phased, “Okay.”
It’s said in a way that makes Buck feel like he’s missing something here.
“Okay,” he repeats dumbly.
Because now that it’s an option he can’t stop thinking about it. A re-do of the bachelor party, dressed-up, drunk, and having fun with his favorite person. Maybe he should thank Tommy, actually?

Tommy bails on Buck's Halloween plans, Eddie offers to take his place in the couples costume contest, and Buck goes home with a grand prize.

“You’d really do this at work?” Buck asks, contemplating briefly whether it might be a better option for him to just dive off the edge of the fire escape.
Eddie probably wouldn’t risk jumping after him.
And it’s only a dozen feet or so. If he makes sure to roll when he lands it’s highly likely he’d walk away completely unscathed.
Eddie follows his line of sight, and an incredulous sound escapes him.
“Please tell me you’re not thinking about jumping off the fire escape.”

But Eddie just smiles, all bright and radiant, and Buck feels his heart beat faster in his chest at the sight.
It's fine. Buck's fine. He's gotten his leg crushed by a ladder truck, survived a tsunami, gotten struck by lightning and died. He can handle maybe, possibly being in love with his best friend.
