“I’m still mad at you,” Troy informs him. He yanks off his (Abed's, probably) t-shirt like he's as angry with it as he is with Abed. He’s so well-made, Abed thinks. Troy was constructed as if someone carved him out of marble and took their time on him. He must’ve been someone’s masterpiece.
“I didn’t think you weren’t,” Abed manages, licking his lips. “Given that you haven’t spoken to me all week, I’m sure you might have reasons.”

“When was the last time you ate something?” Abed asks, too direct in his question for Jeff to avoid answering.
He manages to do so anyway by just pretending he couldn’t hear Abed and becoming interested in the fabric of his sweatpants.
“Jeffrey, you know I expect you to make your best effort to answer my questions.” Abed presses, looks at Jeff with those eyes so dark he didn’t know how to hide from them.
And maybe he doesn’t have to pull out the dom voice over Jeff’s kitchen counter, but damn if it doesn’t make him sit up a little straighter.
“Um, probably yesterday. Most likely yesterday afternoon. That’s my best answer.”

Summary
He decided to try again when he started taking film classes, a character that called for it and the understanding that a cigarette was meant to be savored and not sucked down. So he sat on a bench out in the courtyard and lit a cigarette, held it in his hand while he wrote and took careful pulls as to not repeat earlier mistakes. His head felt too light and floaty and he wasn’t quite sure he’d enjoy standing up but it wasn’t a bad experience overall.
It never really stops then, the pack of cigarettes sits at the bottom of his bag. There are occasions he decides to take them out, with Jeff when they’re drinking, at a party in the dorms, out in the parking lot while he’s shooting documentaries. They conveniently help him meet people and dispel awkward moments, passing them to strangers and acquaintances as a way to socially win them over.
