Summary
Young Ella and Jay Ravenscroft have been stuck with the Dragon Hunters for two years. Ella has let the lifestyle harden her and bury down the sweet, caring girl she once was; Jay holds out hope even after all this time and refuses to let them change him.
Thankfully, they are rescued from this awful life by Hiccup Haddock III, the legendary Chief of Berk, and his Dragon Riders. Hiccup takes the two children under his wing and teaches them all he knows about dragons.
But Ella isn’t ready for her life to change so fast. Especially with the knowledge that Jay isn’t even her real brother, and that their parents aren’t her real parents.
All this revelation threatens to tear her apart, but her new family isn’t about to give up on her. Not by a long shot.
