Summary
Charlie Morningstar attends a meeting with Heaven in hopes of convincing them of her hotel and stopping exterminations but when she's presented with an unbelievable deal by first man Adam, Charlie feels she has no other choice than to compile for the good of her people.
Problems arise when her guilt over what she had to do consumes her, especially given she finds herself thinking back on the experience fondly.

Anya's slumped against the edge of the gurney, breath coming out in shaky, uneven gasps. Curly asks about Jimmy - he’s more concerned with him than her, she realizes in a cold, cruel moment. Of course - of course Curly wouldn’t do anything about him. They were friends.
He leaves, and Anya knows now that she’s on her own.
She has to do something. Something to make sure that Jimmy wouldn’t hurt her ever again.
