Summary
After the events on Bandomeer, Qui-Gon reiterates that he cannot train Obi-Wan, but he tells Obi-Wan he deserves to be a Jedi. Obi-Wan follows Qui-Gon back to the Temple, becomes the padawan of Councilor Mace Windu, and dedicates himself to being a padawan worthy of a master who sits on the Council and invented his own lightaber form. Along the way, he bonds with his lineage sister, Depa Billaba, gets into mischief with his best friend Quinlan, and meets the Mand'alor, Jaster Mereel.
Obi-Wan Kenobi, unwanted child and then unwanted initiate finds himself a family that spans cultures and the galaxy. And when darkness rises up to threaten it, he defends his family with all the lessons and tricks the Force has taught him.

Summary
It was highly inconvenient to find myself transformed into a crow in the Imperial Apartments, and somewhat alarming when I discovered that I could not access my magic, and therefore could not turn back.
...
The small room was empty, and dark. A single patch of silvery moonlight picked out a fluffy piece of fabric draped over the back of the long couch.
Cliopher stared for a long moment, then became aware of movement by his feet. He looked down. The large black crow had landed beside him in a splatter of ink, and was regarding him solemnly with one gold-rimmed black eye.
“She’s taken him,” he said, softly.

Summary
Cliopher attempted many times to explain that his marriage had been one of convenience - she had needed a husband to avoid an awkward situation, and he had been available, unmarried, and willing to sign the paperwork. They both understood that they were free to seek other partners, and the marriage was dissolvable if either of them found someone that they truly wanted to marry.
It wasn’t as if he didn’t want to know if she was alive, particularly when she lived one town over from his cousin Basil, who he also hoped had survived. It was simply that, compared to the great work of rebuilding the world, the sacrifice of not knowing did not feel so great.

At least there wasn’t an audience for the look Ludvic turned on Kip and the too neutral way he said, “Tor?”
Kip could feel himself flushing - in Astandalas this was the kind of thing that had lost him jobs before - but he had the excuse of, first of all, amnesia, and second of all, “He didn’t give me any other name!” Kip hissed. “He deflected me off the topic twice!”

SecUnit finds itself in charge of one of Dr. Mensah's children, and on the run. Luckily, it's good at its job. Unluckily, it has to hang out with a human adolescent. (It can handle the people trying to kill it. It's the babysitting thing that's terrifying.)

Five (and a half) times Cliopher doesn't notice getting propositioned at the Jubilee, plus one time he does (and one time he does the propositioning).
response to a kinkmeme prompt: If Fitzroy decides to keep his name and fanoaship quiet during the Jubilee, he runs the risk of people finding out he and Kip aren't married yet and taking what they think is their last chance to shoot their shot with Kip. Bonus points if all the courtly euphemistic proposals continue to fly right over Kip's head but Fitzroy perceives every one and is Not Pleased.

Summary
If Cliopher had to sit around twiddling his thumbs he would lose his mind. “I’m going to legalize the rest of Fitzroy Angursell’s poetry,” he said, without entirely meaning to. To Aioru’s widened eyes and Ludvic’s raised eyebrows, he said, “I need a project, it’s non-essential to government functioning, and he’s Zunidh’s poet laureate now. Having half of his works be illegal for sedition is absurd.”

A political crisis in Nijan prevents Cliopher from retiring after the landslide and reuniting with Fitzroy. What it can't prevent is Cliopher and Fitzroy being ridiculous about each other from worlds apart.

"You're under an enchantment, Cliopher. The good news is that the protections his Radiancy has placed on you have shielded you; the bad news is that the protections that block the spell are also reflecting it, meaning that instead of you it affects everyone who comes near you. You may have noticed an unusual propensity for candor in your vicinity today?"
A reverse truth serum plot leads to Cliopher having a very strange day.

Summary
That Tuesday evening, the world came back into his life in the form of half a brick through his kitchen window. Gandalf is part of an ancient order of immortal beings sent to earth to prevent interference by certain malevolent forces that ought not to be there. He has bigger problems to deal with than troubled teenagers with a habit of breaking things when they're stressed. He certainly doesn't need to take another child under his wing. Or, Gandalf adopts Pippin.
