All he needed to do was to imagine a life where she was there with him. Right next to him. Laughing whenever Kaminari’s brain short circuited when he abused his quirk or when Shoto, Uraraka, and Tsu teased Iida for his strict behavior.

The sun shone in the sky, illuminating Midoriya’s trail home. Unlike the weather, which was cold, only made worse by the brisk winds. The sky was warm toned, a beautiful mixture of orange, red, and white shades.
He used to walk home everyday with his ex-bestfriend, Bakugo Katsuki and his parents. They were so close, Katsuki was one of the first people to see Midoriya ever! But, once Katsuki got his quirk, everything changed.

Before my eyes were even open, I’d go straight to work, nagging Captain Lee for hours about how off track we were. I’d say it all started when he finally cracked. He had enough of me in his ear about how we were headed for disaster, he lost it from the fear of putting us in danger and killed nearly all of ‘em. He left me for last, probably to save some sappy speech about how his anger was all my fault. In the end, I killed him. The guilt consumed me for days, although, who’s to say it still isn’t trying to worm its way into my head? Maybe I’ve just learned to adjust to it.

“How could you?” Izuku whispers, eyes wide, hand still on the knob of their bedroom door. Katsuki shoots up and tosses the covers across the bed, but it’s too late. Midoriya has already seen the unruly tufts of red hair and the smooth tanned flesh of Kirishima’s naked chest.
“It didn’t mean anything, I swear! Please, please Izuku, don’t do this.” He gently lays his hands on either side of Katsuki’s face and kisses him with all the love he can.
“It’s already done, Kacchan.”

After Kacchan cheats on him, Izuku moves in with his best friend Shōto, which is all well and good, except for the fact that Shōto has secretly harbored feelings for Izuku since high school but never thought he would have a chance. Does he?
Can Izuku find love again, or will he come to find that love is harder to understand than he ever thought possible?
