Many had called Igor Karkaroff a weak man over the years but few would call him stupid; self serving yes, but not stupid. That very nature was what brought him to a sleepy suburb of Surrey in July 1991. You see he knew that Harry Potter would now be old enough to attend a school, he'd done the maths, and while the whole of wizarding Britain assumed that the boy would attend Hogwarts, like all good British wizards should, Igor thought he might offer the boy an alternative to try to persuade the young 'saviour' to his school. He could already imagine the coup it would be to pull that feather right from under Dumbledore's nose and, luckily for him, Harry Potter doesn't even seem to need that much persuading.
Join Harry as he learns to be a wizard in a very different magical environment and see the changes that can happen when you are free to make your own choices in life.

Summary

He never really had the chance, since he was more focused on not dying every year.
But at the Quidditch World Cup final, when Viktor Krum suddenly presented the Golden Snitch to him, things take an unexpected turn. The moment their fingers brushed, something changed within Harry, right down to his very soul.
Something colder, darker, and far more nebulous.
Yet Harry readily accepts this change. It just feels right, it feels like everything that had been in disarray is now slotting back into place. It also helps that Viktor isn’t shy about proving that he wants to further this burgeoning connection between them.
As such, amidst a turbulent year and a deadly tournament, their very souls become entwined in a bond deeper than anyone can begin to comprehend, and as dark forces attempt to manipulate and control the strings of fate, their bond could very well be the catalyst that throws magical Britain down the path of uncertainty and chaos.
