After one of his street-level dealers steps far enough over the line to draw his attention, Jason's sent to Keystone City in pursuit of the transgressor and the conspiratorial side gig he signed on as delivery for. But when the Flash's sudden intrusion on his stakeout snowballs into his case being annexed by the League, a highly inconvenient head injury, and the threat of detainment on the watchtower, Jason strikes up a last-ditch deal at the cost of working in close quarters with an team of distant acquaintances he'd do anything to avoid, and who seem to share the feeling.

One time was a hate-fuck, and that was something Grantaire could understand. He was easy to hate. Two times… that was, well. He wasn’t entirely sure. Two times with a drunken love confession? That was something sinister and fucked-up and positively doomed. Add in squatting in the same living room together for five hours a day, every day… it was a hot mess.Where Enjolras and Grantaire learn that they have much more in common than they have different. It just takes them a while.

Fantine hums under her breath. “I’d be happy to take a look at whatever you’re working on, if you’d like.”
Grantaire grimaces, his hand coming up to rub the back of his neck. See, he has no problem with letting other people look at his work—in fact he’d even say that he’s quite good at receiving constructive criticism, and he trusts Fantine—it’s just that there’s no work to look at. Not a single brush stroke, not even the faded outline of an erased pencil has survived long enough to see the light of day.

Summary
The destination he has in mind is unclear — unnamed, yet, more accurately. Jason doesn’t know where he’s going, or what he’s going to do when he gets there. A few hours’ drive just didn’t seem far enough to be away from the expanse of Gotham, not when Bristol itself rolled out several miles around the city proper, so he cranked it up a few hours. Chicago seemed like a far enough place away, until he got onto I-80 and a terror seized him as he remembered Dick had spent a brief stint as an officer in Chicago. So he kept driving west.
Keeps. Keeps driving west. Jason Todd has no idea where he’s going or no idea what he’s going to do when he gets there, but he knows with certainty three things:
Jason Todd is a wanted man.
Jason Todd is the Red Hood.
And Jason Todd absolutely cannot go back home.
