Summary
Fresh off an emotional wedding, NHL power couple Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov are finally stepping out of the shadows and onto the same ice with the Ottawa Centaurs. For Shane’s sister, Caitlin, it’s a time of major transitions as she balances her role managing her family’s affairs, her bond with her brothers, and her deepening relationship with teammate Dean De Laurentis. Moving in together three doors down from Shane and Ilya, Caitlin and Dean attempt to carve out a life of their own amidst the endless chaos of professional hockey.
When the intense spotlight of the NHL season, explosive rivalries with Montreal, and the global stage of the Beijing Olympics test them all, old insecurities and public scrutiny threaten to tear their quiet sanctuary apart. From locker room politics and family friction to Dean’s internal struggles on the ice, everyone is forced to confront what it truly costs to stand by the people they love.
Emotional, witty, and fiercely romantic, this story charts the triumphs and growing pains of a blended hockey family. It is a celebration of courage under fire, the messy reality of deep devotion, and the unshakeable power of finding home in one another.

“I’ve been looking at Twitter,” Ilya said, one hand on the wheel and the other playing with the hair at the nape of Shane’s neck. It wasn’t doing much to calm the stiffness in his shoulders. “Is not so bad, most people are more mad at your GM than you. It helps that everything is so mysterious.”
“Really?” Pava asked, his head appearing from the backseat. “I see people very mad at him.”
“Not helping, Pava.”

Summary
In another timeline, Shane and Ilya hook up in Room 1410, Ilya slips out unnoticed, and they spend the next seven years trapped in the situationship from hell we all know and love.
In this one, Yuna Hollander walks in just as Ilya goes to leave and—through the combined power of misunderstanding, miscommunication, and a frankly alarming lack of follow-up—Shane and Ilya start dating in 2010.
Given the chance to grow up with rather than against each other, Shane and Ilya build a life thats steadier, safer, and far less frightening than their canon. Their rivalry fizzles before it ever has the chance to fully ignite, replaced by hockey’s most beloved “bromance", and in 2015, they find the courage to do the one thing their canon counterparts never got to do: tell the NHL and the world.
There is just one problem: No one believes them.
OR: Despite Shane and Ilya being out for two years, Scott Hunter is still considered the first openly gay player in the NHL, much to Ilya’s indignation.

Summary
The sports world is on fire. A leaked, heavily redacted copy of the Raiders' joke "truce" letter to Montreal, paired with photos of their drunken night of bonding out at a club, has the entire public convinced that the Montreal-Boston playoff series is a multi-million-dollar fraud — and that Ilya and Shane are two of the masterminds behind it.
Ilya doesn’t give a shit about the headlines. He doesn’t care about the media circus swarming his hotel lobby, or the strict coach-mandated lockdown confining him to his room. All he knows is Shane is across town spiraling, and he's not with him.
Good thing Cliff Marleau is willing to do whatever it takes to help his best friend get to his man.
