Namjoon loved the tradition of Santa. Not just the gift-giving—he loved having his kids make lists, baking cookies, and best of all, writing them a short little letter from Santa to place atop the many gifts his children received each year.
But things were changing. For the first time since his divorce eight years prior, Namjoon had a boyfriend. Twelve-year-old Nayeon and ten-year-old Jungkook didn’t quite believe in Father Christmas any longer, but still faked their belief to make their dad happy. Nayeon especially struggled to keep up her fake belief in Santa Claus, as well as grappling with the changes that came as her father started to include his partner, Yoongi, in aspects that traditionally only involved their family of three.
The holidays can be fun and daunting at the same time. The Kim Family Christmas was no exception of that.
