Summary
It was luck that Lan Wangji heard of the plan to confront Wei Wuxian in the Qiongqi Path. It was instinct that had made him accompany Jin Zixuan to suppress any violence from the encounter. It was years of musical cultivation that had turned his ear to a second flute. A second flute intent on changing the course of all their lives.
With the flute's owner in the custody of both Lan Wangji and Jin Zixuan, Wei Wuxian is called to give an account of the incident in Jinlintai, in front of the friends and family he had been hoping to reconcile with. As truths are revealed, Wei Wuxian is confined to the Burial Mounds under the protection of the Lan Clan of Gusu with Lan Wangji acting as personal guard to him and the Wens.
Leading a simpler life, friendships are tested and strengthened, truths are spoken and feelings revealed, teaching all touched by the events that family is strongest when you build it together.

After watching his husband; his son; nephew; brother and little radishes dying in front of him one by one because of a source of resentful energy; Wei WuXian dies too as he destroys it.
But instead of darkness; he finds himself back in the past when he had just gotten kicked out of the cloud recess and everything looks so peaceful he can’t stand it. No…no no no he really can’t go through this hell again. Not again. Not after everything was supposed to be over.
Not knowing that Lan WangJi has been thrown back in time as well; he tries; and fails at taking his own life by slitting his throat open in the middle of lotus pier and so; he decides to show everyone the future.
If he’s going to live this hell again; he’s going to change it and if these people are suddenly so determined to keep him alive; then he’s not going to let them die either.It doesn’t matter if they end up hating him just as much as he hates himself.
(Or; another time travel fix-it which happens to be a watching the show fic as well! With our favorite baby boy and his husband; all their ducklings and their very much alive family and friends from the past.)

It was lighter than expected not that he could pin point why he thought it would be heavy in the first place. Well, almost everyone.
Professor Shen smiled with a perfect ease that was almost infectious enough for Changcheng to take a proper breath. "I'm here for a few minutes," he said, "so if I can help, take your time. Were you discussing something downstairs?"
He nodded, recalling the last several confusing moments, and trying to decide how best to sum them up. "I guess I wasn't sure why everyone thought it was important that Chief Zhao changed his hair? And then Lin Jing-ge said..." After briefly considering what Lin Jing-ge had said, Changcheng shook his head. It couldn't be appropriate to say sex words in front of Professor Shen.
