“Why would you offer me this?” I asked, suspicion creeping into my voice. “What do you gain from it?”
Death’s laugh was a soft, hollow sound. “I gain nothing, Harry Potter. I am eternal; I am indifferent. But I have seen many souls come and go, and I know when a soul longs for a new path.

Summary
Tim now stared at the papers in his hand with disbelieving eyes. Holy fuck, Bruce is going to kill me.
The buzzing of his phone broke through his thoughts, and for a moment, Tim considered flinging it across the room to shut it up. Then, apparently the phone had been so insistent and non-stop for the past few minutes, that Percy had begun to stir.
Good timing. As soon as Percy's eyes fluttered open, Tim shoved the marriage certificate and license in front of his face.
“Hey, remember last night?” Tim asked as he watched Percy groggily scanned over the certificate.
Tim waited patiently for the man's brain to catch up, watching him furrow his brows as he tried to read the written text over and over. Then, a good few minutes later, he dragged a hand down his face in defeat.
“I'm actually dyslexic,” Percy said, flatly. His eyes fluttered close again.
Tim wanted to shake him.
OR; Tim wasn't one for impulsive decisions. Too bad the same can't be said for Percy.
