Sonny left him and then Rafael left everyone. He never did do anything halfway. Sonny always loved that about him. Now, he wants to scream at him for it.
Sonny isn’t screaming.
Sonny is sobbing, he is lying in the snow and it is soaking his jacket but he doesn’t care. He can’t feel it, he can’t feel anything. He is okay with that, not feeling. Except that’s a lie, he is feeling too much. That is his problem, he feels too much. Right now, he feels like he was just pushed from a fluffy cloud all the way to the bottom of the ocean, hitting every layer of ground on the way down. He is freezing, his body is cold, his fingers, his nose, his empty chest that is supposed to hold a heart, everything is freezing.
Except the warm hands pulling him up.

“So, are you going to keep pretending that you don’t see me.” Sonny turns his head just before finishing. “I thought we got past that years ago.”
Rafael turns his head towards Sonny, already scooting closer. They are a foot apart, less than in some places, touching at the knees. Well, Sonny’s knee is rubbing against Rafael’s thigh and Rafael trying his damndest to not to push his thigh into Sonny’s knee, opening his legs. He is not doing any of that. What he is doing is staring at Sonny, trying to find something to say.

This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.
No, wait. That’s not right. That’s Hitchhiker's Guide. Or was it Restaurant at the End of the Universe? Whatever, not important.
Eddie Munson died on March 27th, 1986.
Except…he didn’t. He couldn’t have. Because Eddie Munson is currently arguing with himself in his fucking head about sci-fi quotes, which doesn’t feel especially like something that a dead person would have the capacity to do.
The bats had killed him. There had been pain, and the sick sensation of tearing flesh. He’d had to swallow past a mouthful of his own blood to tell Henderson he loved him. Surely those were symptoms of imminent death.
And yet.
On April 1st, 1986, Eddie Munson opens his eyes in a dim hospital room. There’s a gasp from his left, and he tries to turn his head towards the source.
“Easy there, kid. They’ve got you trussed up pretty good.”
Eddie doesn’t need to see him. He’d know that voice anywhere, in any universe, hell dimension or otherwise.
“Uncle Wayne?”
