Summary
Stiles is just trying to prevent the next supernatural problem from killing his friends. Derek is just trying to keep his pack alive (and ignore the desperation that crawls under his skin whenever Stiles is near).
When Stiles goes into the preserve to investigate a string of murders, he and Derek are kidnapped by an unknown group and locked in a basement with no escape. Each night brings new suffering, and each day they have only each other.
The two will have to learn how to lean on one another to keep their sanity intact, and they’ll have to work together to escape.
Too bad they annoy the shit out of each other.

The hands leave him in an instant. Peter sags in relief, his danger sense slowly but surely fading away. His saviour comes into focus, and Peter has to hold back a groan when he sees who it is.
“What the hell is going on here?” Stark demands. “Does somebody wanna explain why they’ve got my foster kid pressed up against the wall like he’s some kind of criminal?”
“Your- your foster kid?”
Stark throws his hands up in the air with exasperation. “Yes, my foster kid. Lordy, do you two go outside? Or better yet, do you even work here? How have you not heard about this?”

Is it more likely that you were bitten by a radioactive spider on a field trip, and that by some miracle this didn't kill you, instead gifting you with fantastical abilities, or that you witnessed something deeply tragic and extremely traumatising — traumatising for anybody, but especially so for a child — and your brain formed this fantastical world as a way to cope?"
Peter doesn't answer. Around the lump in his throat, he can't. He sets his jaw, but a hot tear rolls down his cheek anyway, followed by another, and another.
"I'm not crazy," he whispers.
"Of course not, you're simply unwell."

When Peter finds himself in an unfamiliar place, with no memory of how he came to be there, they tell him he has relapsed. They tell him Spider-man is just a character he invented to cope with trauma, that everything that has happened to him over the last two years is a figment of his imagination.
But Peter knows the truth.

Summary
AU. Nineteen year old Peter Parker has worked for SHIELD ever since he had a run-in with Nick Fury over alien technology a couple of years ago.
When Tony Stark and Happy Hogan are injured in an attack that uses unfamiliar alien tech, Peter is assigned by Fury as their bodyguard and informant. He has one rule he tells himself on missions. Or, well, one rule with three sub-sections: get in and out, stay alert, and do not get attached. (That last sub-section holds more weight than the others — by about forty percent, give or take.)
Morgan Stark — and, apparently, the rest of the Avengers, along with people he's tried to leave behind — are making the last part of that rule very difficult for him. Oh, and it turns out that Tony Stark isn't as big of an asshole as everyone makes him out to be. Who knew?

Tony really couldn’t believe his horrible luck. He looked away from all of them, trying to stomach the thought that he had to look after a kid. A random kid that was apparently important enough to be smuggled out of the fucking city, a random kid whose eyes were so similar to Morgan’s. Tony hadn’t looked after, or properly interacted, with a child in twenty years.
