Summary
After Gadreel kills Kevin, Dean and Cas track him down, and, with Crowley's help, get Sam to expel Gadreel from his body. But Sam was vessel to Metatron's Second in Command, and, therefore, has seen and heard vital information regarding the Scribe of God's plans. Unwilling to leave such information in the hands of someone as resourceful, and skilled as Sam Winchester, Metatron sets out to ensure that what Sam learned as a vessel, remains out of the hands of his enemies. Dean and Castiel, on the other hand, just want Sam back, safe and sound, and out of the clutches of dickbag angels who don't know Dean's number one rule- don't mess with Sam. But Metatron has other enemies, including other angels, and a rising faction of Hell, led by Abaddon, who would also love to get their hands on someone with Sam's inside knowledge, putting the youngest Winchester on everyone's Wish List.
And Gadreel... well, Gadreel has always wanted one thing. Redemption. But will he find it with Metatron? Or is the key to his redemption in the hands of human, one who knows what it is like to fall because of Lucifer... and also how to rise again?

Summary
After Dean and company rescue Sam from Crowley's clutches, Crowley is pissed. With Rowena still on the loose, and his only sure-fire weapon to take her out stolen from his grasp, Crowley is determined to take Sam back and use him to end her once and for all. But with Dean Winchester officially back from Purgatory and resuming his role of protecting Sam, Crowley knows no demon is going to get near Sam Winchester now. Instead Crowley enlists a fellow monster who has already had his eyes on the Winchesters to get the youngest Winchester back. But Crowley isn't the only one with an agenda, and rumors of his interest in Sam have spread. Specifically in the power laying dormant in the young man's blood. And the desire to control blood that special, that potent, is spreading, leading the young hunter to be put in an unwanted spotlight, and leaving it up to his big brother and their ragtag collection of friends to try and keep him safe when the scent of blood in the water has the sharks, or rather monsters, circling. With a new, but equally dangerous enemy in play, the boys lean on a new friend for his experience in the arena they suddenly find themselves playing in.

Summary
Set after Mother May I. Eve's plan has worked, and Dean, John, Castiel and Michael have failed to save Sam from being whisked off to Purgatory after Eve's death, though an unexpected tag along means Sam is not stranded alone. Lost, in a realm that he isn't familiar with, surrounded on all sides by enemies, old and new, and a few unexpected faces, Sam struggles to survive, fighting for his life and a way back to his family.
Meanwhile, back on Earth, Dean is livid. Nobody takes his brother away from him, especially to a monster-infested Hellscape where Sam will be hunted and hurt, possibly worse. And, out of options, Dean is forced to remember a warning, that he had dismissed as a dream. But now, that warning might be the only way for him to save his brother. And if it's for Sam, there is nothing he won't do, even if Cas doesn't agree with it.
But with Eve dead, her last act of vengeance remains, a spell empowering all the monsters left on Earth. With Sam missing and Dean working on getting him back, it is up to John and Michael to stop Eve's spell before it takes full effect. John is determined to finish this once and for all, and make the world, at last, safe for him and his boys to have the lives they deserve

After finding reports of a haunting, John sends the boys to hunt on their own, as an early birthday gift to Sam, promising meet up with the boys after his own hunt and to let Sam finish out his sophomore year at the same school once the hunt is complete. Settling in, Sam and Dean begin to prepare for the hunt, but quickly find out that there is more to the small town than meets the eye. Dark forces circle the boys, friendly townsfolk hide more than meets the eye, and opposing sides in an ancient war make the first moves in a long foretold plan. Naturally, Sam and Dean are caught right in the eye of the storm, and must work together to escape some of the worst kinds of monsters they have come across in their long, storied career of hunting.

All three Winchesters strive to discover the balance between protecting and safeguarding their loved ones, and allowing them the freedom of their own choices, consequences and all.
The story starts in the summer of 2001, when the Winchesters roll into a small town. But when one of them becomes the hunted, the others race to save them not only from the monsters, but also from the truth.

Following the explosion at the Leviathan headquarters, Dick Roman is gone, Dean and Cas were taken to Purgatory, and Sam is alone. Or, he would be. But unfortunately, for Sam, someone has eyes on him. Someone has watched Sam for years, waiting for their opportunity to strike, and with Cas and Dean finally (supposedly) off the playing board, they take their golden opportunity to use Sam against another supernatural being, one that, according to rumors, Sam is already destined to kill. And when Dean returns from Purgatory, the first thing he does is search out his wayward brother, who may or may not be the same one he left behind.
