"If you're not happy," Wei Wuxian suddenly heard his own voice saying, not unlike an out of body experience, "you could always express an interest in me."
Lan Wangji's head snapped up, piercing Wei Wuxian with such an intense stare he scrambled to try and explain the words that had just tumbled uncontrollably out of his foolish mouth, wondering faintly if he was going to have any control over his errant tongue today.
"I mean - it's just a suggestion, Lan Zhan. If you've shown an interest in someone, there's less pressure to marry immediately, right?" Gods, what was he saying? His tongue felt like a lump of liver in his mouth, clumsy and unwieldy, but he just kept talking.

He’d spent days, maybe even weeks agonising over this very moment; he’d changed his mind over every article of clothing at least half a dozen times.
Since Jiang Cheng wasn’t always the best at expressing himself, he was trusting his clothes to do the talking if words failed him.

Bless her, she got hung up on WWX throwing loquats to LWJ in the show and really wanted there to be a significance to it, but alas, there was not. So this is for her, to fill that need.
The title is also her choice. x3 She liked it, and since it's a gift, it was only fair she got to name it. "Wicked tricks" also links back to the type of cultivation WWX does, too, so it worked out quite well.

Note that these are drabbles, which, by definition, are traditionally meant to be about 100 words in length. Mine are longer, but still too short to be called a oneshot, really. So please, no reviews saying there isn't enough detail and content, as I've seen on other drabbles in the past.
I do take prompts, though they're an aside to my main works and less of a priority, so sometimes take me a while to write. But feel free to send me some if you want. Just use the format provided at the start of each chapter.
