Summary
When Feyre finds out that Rhys and the Inner Circle have hidden the truth about her pregnancy complications from her, she leaves home and searches for answers and support elsewhere. Along the way, she finds out that she's not the only one whose family has been keeping secrets. The ramifications of her decision extend all the way to Autumn and Day, with far reaching consequences. The Night Court will also be forever changed as Feyre comes fully into her own power as High Lady, building alliances and an agenda of her own.
A partial rewrite of ACOSF that kicks off with Feyre's pregnancy storyline, and diverges from the moment Nesta reveals the deception to her. I'm planning a rewrite of Nesta's full story in ACOSF, so she'll just make appearances here.
Themes of pregnancy termination, pregnancy loss, child abuse, abuse of adult children, and death in childbirth will be discussed.

“Don't close the—” David tries, but it's too late. He rushes past Patrick—who’s frozen in place and staring at him in confusion—and tries to open it. It won't budge. He jiggles the handle this way and that, but it's no use. “Twyla said not to shut the door,” he spits out. “It’s broken.”
He's trapped in here, with Patrick.

Summary
“You’re looking a little lost there sweetheart.”
Patrick startles out of his thoughts, realising that he’s been standing stock still in the middle of the crowd for longer than is advisable.
“Why don’t you come over here and grab some of my shade.”
The voice is coming from under a tent displaying a collection of art works—some black and white, others a vibrant chaotic mix of colours, clashing dramatically with the bright rainbow flag spread over the table at the front of the booth. There’s an acrylic sign with the name “RoseBudd Collective” printed on it to the left; a collection of flyers, stickers and pins are arranged neatly on the right. Standing behind the middle of the table is a man Patrick is almost too intimidated by to look at directly. It’s like staring directly into the sun after a cold, dark winter.
In which Patrick takes an impulsive trip to NYC for Pride and meets David—beautiful, sexy, and clad in leather.

David slumps back down onto the step and sighs, “I need coffee.”
“It’s five o’clock in the morning,” Patrick says. He takes the last few stairs on the rickety staircase that leads to his apartment above Cafe Tropical and approaches David like one might approach a wild animal. “Make coffee at the motel.”
“I did. I drank it all.”
“You drank all the coffee at the motel before five in the morning?”
“Big gulps,” David confirms, nodding his head just once. “Lots of sugar.”
Or, the one where I follow the plot of S4E20 - S5E3 of Gilmore Girls, but make it David and Patrick instead of Lorelai and Luke. In this universe Ted & Alexis are about to get married, Patrick moved to Schitt's Creek before the Roses and helps with the financial stuff but is less involved in the day-to-day of RA, which is about to open, and we ignore the fact that Rory and any of her plot points exist because even I am not so chaotic as to give David Rose a teenage daughter.

NOW COMPLETE.
David Rose was dressed in a black coat with a white shirt. Monochrome. At least that part was correct. The coat itself, however, was a waistcoat, and the white shirt was a Windsor cut. Those were ... incorrect. David had always been a trendsetter when fortune allowed, actively defining fashion rules for himself and the rest of the world, but now David's style had been reduced to a daily "uniform", the fashion rules of which were set by the hotel where he worked.
OR David is a butler in a hotel, dreaming of opening up his own hotel someday and falling for a guest at the hotel. Maid in Manhattan (J-Lo) style. Identities are mixed up, and cuteness and comedy ensues.

“You don’t have to do that. Honestly. I’m fine with being alone, don’t feel bad for me.”
“I wasn’t, I just—I thought it would be nice.” Patrick shrugs, turning his attention back to the broom as he drags it across the floor. “There’s no pressure.”
David stares at him for a moment, dropping his gaze and bringing it back to Patrick. “I mean if you really wanted…you could come over around nine.”
Patrick’s head shoots up. “Yeah. Okay,” he breathes.
“Okay.”

David hates everything having to do with New Year's - the resolutions, the false hope - especially after the year he's had. But Patrick shows him that maybe it's not all that bad.

The last time she’d seen her was in Beijing, heartbroken, stomping down the tunnel to her locker room at Wukesong Arena, like Alexis had personally stolen the gold medal from her. Like the weeks of sexy, flirty rivalry was as good as dust because she’d lost the last game. By the time Alexis had thought to go talk to her, just a few days later, she’d apparently already made some excuse to fly back out to Canada.
And Alexis, um, gets it? She’d be pretty pissed too, she thinks, if some hot girl took the gold medal from right under her.
It doesn’t mean that Alexis hadn’t been bothered by it. It doesn’t mean she hadn’t gone back home irrationally expecting a call from Toronto. It doesn’t mean she hasn't thought of Stevie Budd an almost pathetic amount of times since.
OR
Alexis and Stevie reconnect at the Olympics after 4 years. David and Patrick meet for the first time.
They all come out of it with something worth its weight in gold.
