Summary
The first in the "An Oath to Return" trilogy, this story happens after the events of Kingdom Hearts III and Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory. After misusing the power of waking one too many times, Sora finds himself thrown from world to world, eventually finding himself in the fictional world of Quadratum. Eventually rescued by his friends, Sora finds himself tossed into the next big adventure -- though this one will be a little bit different since he lost half of his heart, all his powers, and even some of his memories. With his friends at his side, Sora faces a new threat -- Organization V and their legion of Half-Hearted. But this time around, Sora faces a challenge he's never had before: the darkness within himself that just might pull him under.

Summary
Once upon a time, the sky and the sea were the closest of friends. But time marched on, and they tired of their overwhelming nearness. Fortunately for the world, their destinies were forever intertwined, and they could not bear to destroy what they once, and still, held so dear to their hearts.
It’s been a few months since Sora returned from Quadratum and saved the worlds once more. Sora and Kairi are both getting closer to darkness in silence. In their fear, they neglect to confide in each other. As they spend time adventuring and training, meaning only to stick closer together, the one thing they succeed in is drifting further apart. While their negative emotions grow, strange physical transformations become increasingly clear. Will Sora and Kairi save each other one last time – before it’s too late?

Meanwhile, Sora's friends back home reflect on his absence. All Kairi wants for Christmas is Sora, and she's determined to make it happen.

Summary
Sora's friends have just rescued him from Quadratum, in the realm of Unreality. Sora and Kairi arrive together in Radiant Garden, and they are shy and nervous around each other after not seeing each other for so long. But now everything is okay -- or so they think. When the Heartless attack and Sora finds that he can't summon his Keyblade, Sora finds himself lost in a sea of panic and tears. At the root of it all is Sora's low self-esteem, and Kairi, and later Riku too, help Sora realize that it's okay to not be okay. They slowly guide him towards his reality in the light.

The price to pay is his disposal. Piece by piece, until there's nothing left. He only has so much time, and he can't waste that on worrying the others. Life must go on.After saving Kairi, Sora realizes that he doesn’t have much time left before he has to face what’s to come: the abyss or something more. But all he can do is spend it with his friends, keeping them unaware.
After all, there’s no saving him.
