After each of them encounter a strange ghost, the Xianle Trio of the past ends up in the future, where three of them are gods, and one is a supreme ghost king. Hong-Hong'er is excited that his future self is so close to his highness, Crown Prince Xie Lian can't stop blushing (Hua Cheng's fault), Mu Qing is shocked seeing his future self, but doesn't understand the look of regret in his eyes, and Feng Xin has no idea why his future self is glaring at him so much.

“You got my back,” Xuanyu gives him a soft smile. His arms move to wrap around his legs like he’s trying to shield himself from danger, and Xue Yang misses his touch. “Thank you.”

“Just don’t hurt him, ‘kay?” the man says, still wearing that creepy, vaguely threatening smile. “A nice boy like you…it’d be a shame if—”
“Xingchen.” A gruff voice interrupts him, followed by the entrance of Xue Yang’s other foster father. This man looks much, much scarier. He’s tall and built and, whereas Xingchen smiles, this man’s expression is downright frosty. “We already talked about this. Leave the boy alone.”
