“Why not?” Arthur began, shrugging lightly, dismissively “You need blood to live which I have. Why not let you take nourishment from me?”
“You make this absurd suggestion sound so easy.” Merlin replied testily “I could kill you.”
“You could kill me long before this.” Arthur snorted mirthfully, “You spoke of that fact very often actually.”
“Do not jest about this━not about this” Merlin snapped, his voice sounded afraid even to his own ears. He blinked away the tears threatening to fall, his lower lip quivered “I could lose control━lose myself. I will not endanger your life to satisfy my hunger.”

After spending weeks unbearably hungry, Merlin confessed that Gaius’s blood-like potions aren’t curbing his newfound appetite. So, Arthur offered an interesting solution to his problem. The warlock isn’t into the idea at first, but he may grow to relish his lover’s trust.
