“Don’t look now,” Changbin whispered in Seungmin’s ear, “but there is a hot boy trying to melt you with his eyes.”
Seungmin didn’t look, though Changbin probably wanted him to. “Tall, blonde, eyebrows?” Seungmin asked tiredly.
“Yeah…” Changbin trailed off as he turned to stare at Hwang Hyunjin, for that’s who it was. “His eyebrows really are insanely good,” he mumbled before Seungmin yanked him around the next corner and cut off his line of sight. “Who is he? What did you do?”
“He is Hwang Hyunjin,” Seungmin said grandly, and it appeared that Hyunjin’s reputation preceded him because Changbin’s eyes widened like saucers. “And I did nothing,” Seungmin continued. “I’ve never even spoken to him.”
“Ok, that can’t be true,” Changbin said, skipping to keep up with Seungmin’s long strides. “He was looking at you like you spoiled his favourite TV show or killed his dog or stole his crush- wait, are you dating anyone?”
“No, I’m not dating anyone,” Seungmin answered, hoping his voice didn’t betray any emotions that he definitely wasn’t feeling. “I don’t have time.”
“Bullshit,” Changbin said. “I bet you could find time in that beautiful schedule of yours for a little love.”

Chris places both hands on Chan’s shoulders. “You don’t have to do this alone,” he pleads. “You aren’t alone.” The older man sighs, and Chan hears him muttering about the future. But then he looks up, gaze determined. “Listen,” he says firmly, fingers digging into Chan’s skin, “you are going to change their lives.”
“Okay,” Chan says dumbly.
“I mean it. But more importantly, they are going to change yours. And I—I know how absolutely fucking impossible that feels for you. For us. And I know it’s not something that you’ll let happen overnight or anything because we’re—” He laughs, quiet but harsh. “We’re not like that. Not right now, at least. But you have to let them, okay?”
It’s so strange, Chan thinks, sitting here with the knowledge of who he is, while staring—quite literally—at the person that he will be, one day. He’s trying to reconcile the differences between himself and Chris, because it seems like such a large leap. Maybe even an impossible one.

“But you can fix it, right? Make it better again?” He doesn’t want to go through a lengthy interview process or to juggle multiple contractors tackling multiple parts of the house. He just wants one person with the patience and expertise to fix everything that’s broken.
Minho looks at him meaningfully. “I can fix anything,” he says.

It’s desperation that drives Felix to place himself at the mercy of someone he has no right to expect kindness from. Six months on the street with his funds running low, if one of his father’s men doesn’t kill him then the oncoming winter will. Going to Chan is a decided risk, he might put a bullet in Felix's skull instead of taking on the job he's offering, but— well. At least that death will be quick.
But Chan doesn’t kill him. He gives Felix shelter, gives him a home. And Felix finds himself in way too deep with a man who doesn’t even fully know who he’s falling for.

“Precisely. They require another witch to complete the circle.”
He knew them, of course—every witch did. The Council’s prodigies turned pariahs: powerful, unpredictable, inconvenient. Years ago, one of them had vanished mid-ritual, and the story had travelled through covens on whispered breath. Dark magic, betrayal, maybe both. Since then, the Stray Kids had lived like ghosts—present on parchment, absent everywhere else.
Not a mission he wanted. But refusal wasn’t a privilege he owned.
“You’ll observe the ritual,” continued the High Warden, “ensure compliance, and report any deviation from approved sigilwork.”
He inclined his head. “Understood.”
OR
Minho was sent to oversee a routine ritual. Observe and report, those were his orders.
Instead, he uncovers a rebellion, a past written in dark magic, and a place he never meant to belong.

“Sure.”
And then it takes Changbin two more minutes after Jisung has gone into his bedroom to shoot up off the couch and yell, “No! Wait, no, you can’t!”
It’s too late. Jisung is already frowning at the screen. “Hey, why do you have this note on here—Chan is only allowed 2 more Linkin Park songs—what does that mean?”
“Nothing! It doesn’t mean anything!” He scrambles to close the window. Unfortunately, behind it is—
“Is this Chan-hyung’s playlist?”
Changbin groans. “No. It’s nothing.”
Jisung squints. “Well, I think he’s exceeded his Linkin Park quota, if it is.”
Listen, it's not stalking, precisely. It's just checking in. It's just making sure Chan is okay. It's for a good cause.

Summary
Jisung hardly thinks so. He thinks that Minho’s kitchen is homey and simple and it’s clear that he’s comfortable in it. He fears that Minho won’t feel the same comfortability and familiarity in his own kitchen. He barely uses it as is, so the space isn’t accustomed to someone feeling in their element in it, so he worries that it will translate to Minho as well, and affect his motivation and attitude with his videos.
Minho’s smile shifts, like it’s his turn to be shy, then scratches the back of his neck in what looks to be subtle embarrassment. “I have a YouTube channel, actually."
I know, and I love your channel. Maybe a little too much. Jisung bites his tongue from saying that out loud. They’ve barely known each other for an hour and he doesn’t want to freak Minho out by saying that he’s a (very dedicated) fan.
